I remember the good old days when television was my friend, my companion, my one true love.

Now that bastard brings to me the stream of conscious of many ignorant, heavy handed people in this country pushing to force you to do as they want. The President pushing so hard for a war against Iraq. He uses the weak excuse that �they may or may not have mass destruction weapons.� I say he is just finishing what daddy couldn�t and winning a war is good for re-elections.

Well ok that theory was accurate until daddy�s reign and nobody wanted him when that was said and done with.

With all the flip flopping back and forth and nothing but big talk and intimidation I haven�t put much effort or worry over a potential war with Iraq. The �war� that has gotten on my last nerve is the current anti-drug campaign.

Every time I see one of these commercials I have an overwhelming urge to get a sledge hammer and put it through the screen. If these commercials are not a sign that times have never changed I don�t know what is. This just goes to show that some people when they feel they stand on a higher moral ground will go to any lengths to embarrass and degrade the people they feel they are above.

Now don�t get me wrong the basis of this campaign is a good idea. Drugs are a plague of this nation and are a substantial cause for deaths and crime here. It�s the means in which they get this point across that I don�t like.

No longer do they talk about the ill effects of drugs on a person. Those drugs can damage your body, your mind, and can very possibly kill you. They don�t even talk about the extents addicts will go to in order to get these drugs. That possibly one of the will rob you or even kill you just for another hit of something killing them.

Why doesn�t this work? Because the ones who don�t kill or rob you realize the only person they are affecting with there addiction is themselves. It is there body they are fucking up and there life that they are potentially tossing away.

So apparently that kind of campaigning just doesn�t work. So let�s instead take the biggest tragedy in the U.S. ever and capitalize on it. Let�s use this new found and heavily charged fear everyone developed for terrorists for our own needs. How about we use this fear as part of our new campaign? There has to be terrorists out there earning there money from drug trafficking. So let�s make that the focus of our new campaign. You buy drugs, well then you are funding terrorist activities against this nation. How very un-patriotic of you.

The true irony of this is before hand many drug users where better at taking personal responsibility for there own actions then these people.

We�ll just ignore the fact that they have no numbers to substantiate this kind of claim. Ignore the fact that like blood sucking leaches they are now feeding off the tragedy we have suffered. Ignore the fact they are quite possibly damaging many youth�s psyches with this campaign.

How many kids out there are absolutely paranoid about drug use in this country? Can you imagine one of these kids over hearing a parent�s recollection of eating some shrooms when they where a teenager? I don�t even want to think of the possible implications that something like this could derive.

Sure that is an extremist attitude and there is a very small chance of it ever happening, but I will say this. I believe there is a better chance there is an innocent kid out there scarred shitless because of this campaign then it is that ten strip of acid you just bought funding some terrorist activities.

And to say that�s not possible is to deny the very fundamentals of the current anti-drug campaign. Extremist attitude of �we do what we have to in order for this work� with no substantial evidence to back it up.

I have already stated a simple solution many times on how to stop all the money we spend on regulating laws for marijuana. Now it becomes a solution to �funding terrorism.� Make the shit legal then they can�t earn money off it because who buys the shit off the street when it can be bought anywhere you can find a cigarette. Hell maybe we�ll even give us a bunch of money and jobs while we are at it.

I�m just so crazy like that thinking of ways to further America�s economic and job markets. And at the same time bringing down an obviously serious problem since they felt the need to run a multi-million dollar campaign to stop it�s illegal sales.

And don�t even get me started on this shit eco-terrorists have started by saying �you drive a SUV then you fund terrorism.�

What the fuck is everyone pulling out the terrorist card? We haven�t seen a trump card like this so heavily used since the days Hitler�s body was still warm.

Once again a group of people ignore the basic problems this causes and instead opt for the more extremist attitude. Just ignore the fact cars everywhere are damaging our environment to almost irreversible damage while we deplete our oil deposits which are not endless no matter how much we think they are.

You thought kids where fucked up before because a parent laughingly joked about that one time they dropped a hit of acid in the sixties. Imagine what the children of SUV drivers are thinking!

What makes this even worse is the fact that there big bitch is here isn�t that you are funding terrorist�s period. Instead because you require more gas for an SUV since it eats it up like Dom Deluise at an all you can eat buffet that some how you alone are funding terrorism.

So let me get this straight. Just because you expend less gas and go further on a tank of gas then an SUV you are not funding a terrorist? Do they specially mark oil drums �SUV: for terrorist funding only�?

Or are we only giving half the facts here. Look either way you look at it if buying oil is a kin to funding terrorist then everyone is responsible. Only SUV drivers happen to buy more then people with economy cars. Then again if everyone had economy cars that is still a multi-billion dollar a year business and I�m pretty sure you can get a couple missiles at the very least with a few billion dollars.

You know all these commercials actually make me miss those annoying ass Old Navy commercials. Sure they bugged the living hell out of me, but they didn�t remind me how truly ignorant people are and what they will do to make there point.

And for that I hate them even more, making me miss Old Navy commercials.
